The 16 storey, office tower is the focal point of a significant new public realm made possible by the closure of the Aldgate gyratory. Working with Wilkinson Eyre, we secured planning consent for 320,000 sqft of new retail and workspace including public realm enhancements surrounding the building.
The property provides floors of over 20,000 sqft of column free space with a central core maximising user efficiency. Amenities include direct access from Aldgate East London Underground and an adjacent retail mall of over 25,000 sqft.
Achieving the planning consent required working closely with adjoining owners and occupiers RBS and the wider Aldgate Partnership which at the time included Tishman Speyer, London Metropolitan University and Barratt Homes.
Once planning was secured the property was sold and has subsequently been built out creating a new landmark for the Aldgate sub-market.
